Massivit 3D has just introduced their 2nd 3D printer, they first debuted the Massivit 1500 at ISA 2018 in Orlando on March 22-24; later for the Europe launch, Massivit displayed it at FESPA Berlin, during May 15 to 18.
The Massivit 1500 is a more economical alternative to its sibling, the Massivit 1800 the later having an optional print head. They claim it is 50 mm/s slower (linear speed) and that it is able to make prints 35cm shorter than the 1800 model.
Just like in the early model, the Massivit 1500 uses the company’s proprietary Gel Dispensing Printing (GDP) technology that guarantees fast curing and reduces the need for support material.
The Israel based company has sold over 60 units of the Massivit 1800 around the world since they first launched it two years ago.
Large format 3D printers are practical and fast solutions to materialize big and light 3D models, as we saw during the exhibits, from a giant shoe to a city’s iconic landscape model.
