The brand-new Jeti Ceres RTR3200 UV LED inkjet printing system made its debut at ISA 2017 in Las Vegas Nevada, also at Graphics Canada 2017 and recently this past May at FESPA Hamburg.
Features on Jeti Ceres
Manufactured by Agfa Graphics, the Jeti Ceres is a roll-to-roll UV LED inkjet printer that prints up to 3.2m wide. With speeds up to 2.002 sq. ft./hr. it is ideal to reduce operational costs. It offers six colors plus optional white or primer.
Jeti Ceres is a dedicated roll-to-roll that combines the extreme robustness of the line with the superior throughput demanded by cutting-edge print facilities.
The Ceres printer is ideal for mid-range to high-end roll media printing of all types, plus it uses the Ricoh MH5420 printhead. Equipped with ultra-bright UV LED lamps, enabling to print on heat-sensitive substrates such as thin slides, self-adhesive sheets or stretched PVC materials.
Issues on unusual substrates?
Jeti Ceres has the option of delivering a fine layer of primer automatically before depositing ink, preparing the surface of the substrate to receive ink by giving it the ideal surface tension with minimal impact on cost per square meter printed.
We at FLAAR Reports have been following Agfa Graphic’s steps for several years now, let’s hope that besides North America and Europe they will be presenting the Jeti Ceres in the Eurasian wide-format industry market, at Sign Istanbul this next October in Istanbul so we can evaluate it.
