Digital dye sublimation is one of the most effective methods for creating customized products on demand; without raising the cost per item, since you can either print individual pieces or series of items.
DigiFab is a manufacturer and developer with headquarters in Los Angeles, and offices in New York and Brazil. Last year DigiFab launched the StampaJet R6-330 transfer paper printer, with six Ricoh Gen5 printheads. This printer uses DigiDye inks in cyan, magenta, yellow and black colors, these are dye sublimation inks manufactured by DigiFab.
Since its launch in 2015, the StampaJet R6-330 has been updated to StampaJet K6-330 model, this is due to the fact that now they are using Kyocera printheads; but basically the printer remains the same, except for the printheads.
In the textile printer industry, a clear TREND is how companies have been switching from one printhead brand to the next. When the textile market began to grow, about five years ago, many entry to mid-range level printers used Epson DX printheads; the Epson stopped selling them individually. So companies switched to Ricoh Gen5, later to Panasonic, and now many have been substituting them for Kyocera printheads.
The DigiFab StampaJet K6-330 is ideal for transferring images to a variety of fabrics pre-treated with a polyester coating, and not limited to polyester fabrics only. This allows a wider variety of applications such as: soft-signage, clothing, textile items and upholstery.
