At FESPA Amsterdam 2016, Roland presented the TrueVIS VG-640/540 64″ and 54″, a new generation of advanced wide-format eco-solvent inkjet printer & cutters of the TrueVIS series.
Yuko Maeda, the division president of Roland DG stated: “We will now be able to match the most appropriate head technology to each application and market that we serve, delivering the best available solutions to all of our users,” VG printer & cutters are the ideal tool for producing indoor and outdoor advertising, vehicle graphics, banners, posters and displays, labels and decals, packaging prototypes, apparel heat transfers and more.”
We had the opportunity to see this printer at FESPA 2016 and learn some of the main features: is is equipped with four newly developed Roland DG FlexFire printheads which allow more flexible control of the metallic plate attached to the ink chamber, for a higher firing frequency. The new FlexFire printhead and the new TrueVIS INK allow printing at 10.6m2/h in speed mode and up to 34.8m2/h. in quality mode onto vinyl.
